I always was sceptical of the Duplicator Migration plugin for wordpress, since many of the customers of my employer use that and it doesn’t work really well in a web hosting environment. However, now that I’ve tried it on my own server and blog (this one, as the title of this post might suggest), I can say that it works really well. I have yet to have any issues.
I’m sure those will arrive in due time, but I’m trying to be optimistic.
The move meant that the blog.* is now a dedicated subdomain in the dns since I don’t want to migrate everything together.
Although it’s only the Etherpad server that needs migration, really.
Everything else is just static files.
I’m gonna celebrate now. Bye!
